ABOUT US

Ellen O'Brien is a dual major in journalism and philosophy with a minor in Arabic Studies. She has previously worked as a photojournalist and political reporter and studied abroad in Israel and Jordan. After graduation, she plans to pursue a masters of foreign relations and Middle Eastern studies. Ellen is an avid photographer, political news junkie, and amateur film critic with a love for coffee and longboarding.

Matthew Jernstedt is a junior at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in Global Studies with a minor in Mandarin Chinese. Born and raised in New Jersey, he now makes his home in Tempe, Arizona, where he works with the United Nations Association of Phoenix. Matthew is a keen believer in diplomacy and aspires to become a Foreign Service Officer in East Asia. Other interests include reading, writing, policy debates, and organizing Model United Nations conferences.

KDee Heath is finishing her junior year as a political science major at Arizona State University. Outside of class, KDee enjoys drawing and painting, taking photos of her friends, and cuddling with her sweet dog (Calvin). After graduation next May, KDee hopes to find work as a staffer for a member of Congress although her eventual goal is to work for the State Department as a member of the Foreign Service.
